    The National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering and the Institute of Medicine today wrote to Attorney Janet Reno protesting the "harsh and questionable conditions of confinement" of Wen Ho Lee, and of the "innacurate and detrimental testimony by government officials" that led to his incarceration.     In the last few weeks we have received words from San Francisco Labor Council (AFL-CIO), South Bay Labor Council(AFL-CIO), Local 250 Health Care Workers Union, International Longshore and Warehouse Union and Executive Council, Episcopal Church, USA that they each passed a resolution protesting on behalf  of Wen Ho Lee.

    Justice Dept. Probes Deutch Case - The Justice Department is conducting a new  criminal investigation of whether former CIA director John Deutch violated the law in mishandling secrets on his home computer.. Perhaps all the protests letters and petition Janet Reno is receiving from all corners of the country is helping her to realize what a different treatment Wen Ho Lee is getting from the United States government.  To probe into Deutch case is at least a step of showing us that there is a hope of fairness in our judicial system.  Our fights just barely starts so let's keep the momentum going !
