WenHoLee.org is an online volunteer organization where
all its expenses were paid by Cecilia Chang and her core supporters.
Even though we were set up to receive donation from the
public as
a non-profit organization since June 1, 2000 we have
not gone out
extensively to solicit donation from the public because
we did not wish
to compete with the Wen Ho Lee Defense fund. As of 2002
we were
informed by Wen Ho Lee Defense Fund that its fundraising
campaign
has been completed . Therefore, any contribution to WenHoLee.org
are welcomed and appreciated.
We keep writing records of all contributions and expenditures.
Expenditures will be used solely to support expenses such as
phone
bills, internet connection, printed material, signage
for rallies, buttons,
mailing expenses, necessary travels and other administrative
expenses
that are related to the movement to bring justice to Dr.
Lee and others
like Dr. Lee. As of June 2000, we have a bank account
set up under the
name of WenHoLee.org using an EIN # received from
Dept.of Treasury.
WenHoLee.org filed as a Corporation with State
of California under the
Justice for New Americans. We are also in the final process
of filing as
a non profit corporation with IRS. Financial statements
for fiscal year 2000
and 2001 have been reviewed by a CPA.
It is going to be included into our
application for non-profit status. However, until
the status is granted donation
at this point is NOT tax deductible.
